BASIC INTERACTIVE EEO COUNSELING(32 hours)
A four or five day course designed to take a newly appointed collateral or full time EEO Counselor
and, through experiential exercises, move them from the unknowing to the all knowing. Our training
method, Tell Me - Show Me - Involve Me is never more evident than during this course. Included in
the framework of the course are: Understanding the Fundamentals of EEO, Why People Do the Things They
Do; Complaint Intake and Initial Counseling: Conducting Interviews with Management Officials; Conducting
the Inquiry and EEO Counselor Report Writing. A special inclusion in both the four and five day agenda
is an Introduction to ADR and a new concept that allows the EEO Counselor to continue to attempt to
resolve the dispute at the lowest possible level - Negotiated Settlement Discussions for EEO Counselors.
Coupled with the Negotiated Settlement Quik Reference Checklist, the EEO Counselor is empowered with
additional skills to support the programs mission. Your EEO Counselors, at the conclusion of this course,
will feel empowered to provide this valuable neutral service to whoever needs help and assistance in seeking
resolution at the lowest possible level.
