SPECIAL EMPHASIS PROGRAM MANAGERS WORKSHOP
Special Emphasis Program Managers have for years been tasked with putting on parties,
displays, observances and other activities within organizations. The real role is that
of an advocate for each specific group of employees, being a management arm for identifying
the diverse needs of an organization, and for increasing the inclusion of underrepresented
groups in the business sector. This 2 or 3 day symposium is designed to steer the SEPM to
their real intended goal and to increase not only awareness within the organization, but
increased opportunities for all, including minorities, women and people with disabilities.
Learning the impact of their contribution to the agency´s Affirmative Employment Plan Update,
the FEORP, and participation in Recruitment and developmental opportunity programs, are but a
few of the new and exciting duties SEPM should have been involved in since 1969.
Designed for the appointed Special Emphasis Program Manager, supervisors, employees, human
resource management professional, and bargaining unit representatives.
